Green Adelaide Annual Volunteer Celebration - Saturday 24 May 2025
Hi Volunteers, Green Adelaide are inviting all environmental volunteer groups and volunteer managers supported by Green Adelaide to join us for an afternoon of networking, sharing, learning, and plenty of fun!

Can’t attend the whole celebration? No worries! Just come whenever you can make it J We’d love to see you there for part of the celebration than not at all.

About the event - Enjoy delicious food, catch up with friends, share stories and hear presentations that recognise the incredible contribution volunteers make to our natural and cultural environment and local communities. From 5pm there will be informal networking and a light supper with a pop-up cellar door where drinks will be available for cash/card purchases.

State Weeds and Pests Conference 2025
WMSSA are proud to announce that we will be hosting the 7th South Australian weed and pest conference. This is a great opportunity for weed and pest animal practitioners, enthusiasts, and community groups to come together to share information, experiences and learnings.
Australasian Weeds Conference 2026
The next conference Australasian Weeds Conference will be held in Christchurch, New Zealand, 23-27 August 2026. We hope to see you there.
Weedy Fun night
G’day Weedo’s! Join WMSSA on Wednesday 30th from 5pm at Adelaide Botanic Gardens in the Goodman building lecture theatre, for an interactive evening of weed knowledge sharing and fun. We will have a few special guests presenting on current weeds issues, a weed show and tell (bring a weed, or share a story), and weed themed karaoke. There could even be a short appearance by the WMSSA band Herbic!ide! playing weed themed popular songs. Please bring a plate to share and BYO drinks. We encourage you to share and discuss any weed, issues, concerns, wins or losses. Its likely there is someone in the room that can help!
Highlights from the 23rd Australasian Weeds Conference 2024

A cohort of Weed Management Society of South Australia (WMSSA) members enjoyed the 23rd AWC with many great presentations as well as the all important networking at the main conference dinner MC’ed by Pip Courtney of ABCs Landline.
Proceedings of Australasian Weeds Conferences
Australasian Weeds Conferences are held every 2 years, hosted by different Australasian weed societies.
The Weed Management Society of South Australia (WMSSA) hosted the 22nd Australasian Weeds Conference (22AWC) at Adelaide Oval in September 2022.
The 23rd Australasian Weeds Conference was hosted by the Queensland weed management society in August 2024.
The next conference Australasian Weeds Conference will be held in Christchurch, New Zealand, 23-27 August 2026.
